Summary

With so much attention being focused on Federal laws, the Supreme Court, and the current President's administration, it's easy to forget about local politics. Grant Henry, a private Tennessee lobbyist, comes on the show to talk about why he is very deliberately working at the state level. Even if our national lawmakers weren't out completely out of control, the local level is where the real responsibilities lie.

0:47.5	possibility or not, but went to law school, got my JD, and then almost immediately after law
0:52.3	school started doing the world of politics, did some talk
0:55.1	radio for a while, through a Fox News affiliation, and then eventually came to the Middle Tennessee
0:59.0	to do direct lobbying. That's what I do full-time now, is I do a lot of grassroots work in the
1:03.7	when the session's not in, when session is in in the state, I'll do direct lobbying. Still some talk
1:09.0	radio work as well. Yeah, and that's how we know each other,
1:12.0	by the way, because T.R.X. Arms does lobbying as listeners to the show know. Everything that we've
1:16.9	done thus far has been in the state of Tennessee. And I want you to give me and our listeners
1:23.0	the pitch. Why state-level politics? Why are you not in the swamp right now? Well, I think that
1:31.3	the short answer is because the more local you go, if that's grammatically correct, the local area.
1:36.6	The more local you be. The more local you be. The more local you go, the more effective you can be.
