As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson,

on the magnificent Monday edition of the yard.

Hope things are well with you, wherever you are today.

It's a new work week.

It's also the beginning of the NCAA mandated dead period

for football recruiting, which means no in-person contact on or off campus.

That'll run through July 31st.

They can still communicate, you know, by text, by phone, but it's a little different dynamic now.

So things will kind of wind down a little bit

as people begin to kind of shift in the football mode.

And there's going to be some decisions announced,

one tonight and then some in the month of July

that are of interest in Mississippi State.

But yeah, a successful weekend when it came to the batting average of getting visitors on campus

and getting them to commit.

I've got some thoughts about some of the guys that we committed, some very positive and

some not so positive, but we'll talk about that.

We'll call it as we see it.

But yeah, here we are.

And this is one of those days I've been looking forward to for a long time.

College World Series is over.
