Exploiting autism families to milk Medicaid is about as low as it gets.

Self-report by April 3rd or Face the Feds.

It's not a soft deadline.

It's their last chance before the door kicks in.

What are we talking about?

Well, the FSSA, Indiana, some state officials, they're anticipating a federal investigation

into the state's autism therapy program following a publication of that recent Wall Street

Journal article that called Autism Therapy Medicaid's fastest growing jackpot.

And it's happening here in Indiana.

And the FSSA secretary, Mitch Rube, he held a meeting and he said,

you know what, you've got April 3rd.

That's the deadline to self-report your business practices that could be considered fraud, waste, and abuse.

Sounds good, but are we really asking them to self-report?

That doesn't have a lot of teeth in it.

No, not at all.

Yeah, self-report.

Hey, if you scammed us, please let us know. Yeah, that sounds like a good strategy. So there's two things here. There's what's happened in the past. And that was, what's happened in the past was highlighted with this Wall Street Journal article, Wall Street Journal article that came out a couple of weeks ago. And so that's happened in the past. And by the way, we're talking about like 2023. And so I certainly don't blame anybody in the current administration, Governor Braun,

or any of the agency heads because they weren't there. That was under the previous Holcomb administration.

But what happened in the past wasn't, at least from the Wall Street Journal article, wasn't

waste fraud and abuse. It was just a total lack of oversight on the Indiana's state agencies.

And in fact, it talks about this autism company called Peace by Peace Autism Centers.

And the woman who runs the company is quoted in the Wall Street Journal article and just talked about how she's essentially raising her rates and that they were within and complied with
