Hello and welcome back to the Aki Fantasy Football Forecast podcast, where it is a very newsy, minorly stat nerd Thursday post-NFL trade deadline.

I'm Matt Harmon, and of course, that means I'm joined every week by fellow stat, aficionado, Dalton Del Don.

Dalton, how are you doing and how disappointed?

I would say how disappointed are you from the fallout of the NFL trade deadline?

But, like, I did not think we would have this much to talk about on this show after the trade deadline.

But suddenly we have an awful lot of things to discuss today.

Yeah, trade deadline was a typical dud, but there's a ton of breaking news. So yeah,

looking forward to a lot of stuff to talk football with you today.

All right, man. Well, then let's not waste any more time. Let's dive into it. But first thing

we found out this morning, we ended up finding out a lot of things today. But first of it was that Michael Thomas announced himself that he is going to be out for the season. He re-injured his ankle during the rehab situation.

It does sound like from the way Sean Peyton has talked about it, that this is not, because I know

there's a lot of, just put it, whispers that there, if not total screams,

that the Saints have been extremely frustrated with Michael Thomas throughout this rehab.

I would note that if you're optimistic about Michael Thomas eventually returning to the New Orleans Saints,

it does sound like that Sean Payton shared Thomas's frustrations that this was a legitimate

setback and not like another thing that he was irritated with Thomas about.

So I just wanted to note that off the top.

But man, Dalton, like, I was not one of the people that was overly optimistic about Michael

Thomas, like that he would return right when he was eligible to or,

you know, something like that. I thought we were kind of into wilderness with the timeline.

I'm not, I don't know about you. I wasn't personally holding him in any league out there.

But man, if he's officially gone for the season, we know there's no more James. This
