Today we're going to talk about the sin that Jesus was accused of. What do you think that was?

The sin that Jesus was accused of. Luke chapter 7, we're told, Jesus speaking, the son of man

feasts and drinks. And you say, he's a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.

Jesus is telling us, he was accused in his day of being guilty of one of the seven deadly sins,

the sin of gluttony. Gluttony. There's still time to leave if you

don't want to hear this message, the sin of gluttony. That's what we're going to be talking about.

As a guide to our time together, we're going to try and define gluttony, we're going to try and

understand what's under gluttony so that we can reorder our gluttony, and then we can learn to actually

indulge our gluttony. That's what we're going to do here. That's sort of our outline, okay?

culture and in our world and in our lives, what our flesh is going to point us to do, what will

take no resistance. Let me tell you saying, you don't have to set out to be a glutton. If you just

live in this world, following your appetites, that's just automatically, like, it's like a moving

sidewalk. You just stand there and, you know, it's just, that's where, that's, that's the default, okay?

But we have to be fish swimming upstream to go against the current that's going to be the norm in this

world to eat, like Paul says, to the glory of God. So Lord, would you help us to do that?
