We are recording this on Friday, which means that it is the 19th anniversary of 9 11.

Damn.

And this would be relevant to anyone that's an American.

But I think it's a little bit even more so if you're a baseball fan because baseball was very much a part of the healing process of this country.

And you know, you look all over Twitter today, people are sharing highlights and people are obviously sharing their personal stories from that day.

But I didn't live in New York at the time. Dallas never lived in New York.

But as baseball fans, that was very much a part of the we can't let these people win.

We're going to go back to our ways.

And at the time being that it was September, there were a lot of pen and races going on.

The Mets were in a pen and race and 10 days after 9 11, the Mets played the braves.

The first team, the first professional sports team to play a game in New York after 9 11 and you've all seen the clips.

It was Mike Piazza, Mets down a run.

Piazza comes up and you hear the let's go Mets chance, the USA chance.

There's USA flags everywhere.

Piazza goes deep.

And if you watch the whole game, if you go back, I know I'm sure there's like specials on it now.

They brought out like the bagpipes for the pregame and Piazza's there hat off tears in his eyes.

Like you know, I mean it affected everybody.
