This is a baseball podcast and I understand that there is a lot going on in the world right now.

And perhaps you turn on this podcast, download this episode for an escape.

If that's if that's what you are doing, you can fast forward for the next 15 minutes or so,

because we will talk baseball 1,000% on this episode and the episode's going forward.

But I think it would be disingenuous of us to act like nothing else in the world is going on

besides baseball. Obviously, there are a lot of players, a people of color that are players

in Major League Baseball. So it would be I think it would be insincere of us to just move forward

with baseball as usual without addressing what's been going on in the world.

So I think what we should be doing here is I guess we can address how we feel about it,

what's been going on in regards to our personal experiences with it. Dallas, if you'd like to go first.

We're all going to you're going to you have your opinions, you have your feelings and I

completely appreciate and respect all of them. There's a level of honesty with oneself that I

think has to take place and I've always kind of prided myself on being very very self-aware

understanding of my situation, why it is what it is. I wouldn't have the opportunity to talk to

you guys and girls about baseball the way we do if I don't have one good day of work. If I don't

have one good day of work, I don't have the opportunity to go on national television and then have

someone see me and say you know what I'd like for you to do a podcast. If I don't have that one good

day of work, I'm not living the life I'm living right now and those are facts and that's me being very

aware of what my reality and what my privilege has been as an athlete and as a white male in this
