I'm joined, as always, by Ryan Heath today to talk through some matchup-based start decisions, start-sit decisions.

And we're going to start off with a bang here.

A couple of rookies.

One was the first running back drafted.

One was the last running back drafted.

Bill Kroski Merritt or Ashton Genti, Ryan, who you're starting in week three.

What is going on?

Yeah, so I'm starting Jentee and like not even thinking about it much. Yeah, that's kind of where I'm at. I'm buying this whole squeaky wheel thing with him with Pete Carroll wanting to get him more touches.

Makes a lot of sense to me.

The Raiders have kind of just run into two game scripts

where they've just been throwing the ball a lot,

which is kind of not what anyone expected preseason.

They've run into two of the top three pass funnels

bypass rate over expectation in the first two weeks,

that being the Chargers and the Patriots. Yeah, I think this is just a game script thing.

Will he get like the two-minute drill stuff? I don't really know, but I think either way,

I guess a commander's defense that was the biggest run funnel in the league last season,

Dan Quinn constantly defaulting to nickel, having the highest rate of five defensive backs on the field on opposing runs.

Like, I think it's a gente game.
