It might sound like fun to date a glamorous movie star, but if it really happened to you,

it would probably be very messy.

That's the premise of Star Struck, a romantic comedy series created by and starring New

Zealand comedian Rose Matafeo.

Complicated and funny and charming, the show treats fame as the isolating pain in the neck

it often can be.

It's a great weekend binge and a just return for a second season.

So we thought it would be a good time to revisit our conversation about the series.

So Rose Matafeo, a comedian who's special, you can also find on HBO Max by the way, plays

Jesse.

Jesse is a woman who considers herself kind of an ordinary single person and who feels entirely

unprepared when after a night out she realizes she's just hooked up with a famous actor named

Tom Kapoor played by Nikesh Patel.

There are six episodes, the two run into each other again and again, even as Jesse resists

the idea that it makes any sense to get involved with Tom for what I think the show establishes

are understandable reasons.
