All right, we are live. It is so so great to be here with all of you. We are starting a new show here at

astrology hub yet another new series. This new series is called Storytelling, and it's designed to help you connect your practice of astrology, your exploration of astrology with sacred astronomy. So helping us all get out under that night sky to understand it, to form a relationship with it, to understand the different stories connected with what we're seeing,

and to really tune into natural rhythms and natural order through this show. Of course we are going to be featuring the amazing wonderful astrologer story teller Gemini Brett here for this show and what we were talking about as we've this show has been in the works for quite some time and one of the ideas that we have behind it is really creating a space where we can imagine, even though we're on

Zoom, even though we're in front of computers, we can imagine that we are together under

the night sky, maybe around a campfire, maybe somewhere just really, really dark where there's no interference from lights and we're together under the sky and Brett's here telling us stories and we're getting to connect in with the magic that way.

So I'm so happy this show is finally here and Brett I'm so happy that you're here to guide us in these stories and in this ancient practice.

That really probably is the roots of astrology, right?

Yeah, we always say that, but it's hard to know. I mean, we have to imagine so. It's a really interesting question of where are we rooted? You know, should we go back to the library of Alexandria and some of these ancient Hellenistic texts that were now dusting off or into India, you know, Mesopotamia somewhere. But I mean, we have records of moon phase carvings on animal bones 30,000 years ago and so diocle paintings and caves, right? And yeah, we would imagine that this ancient connecting connection to the living sky is really at the heart of our craft and it's also at the heart of my devotion and why I'm so excited to have this opportunity to bring us into the night a bit.

We're going to not do that so much today.

I really want to speak about the light and speak about the sun, so we'll have kind of a slowly slow transition but I love that we're recording this in the evening at a time we're here in California that the sun is set and so stars are starting to show themselves a bit.

And one of the ancient transmissions of our craft

was it's different at night than it is during the day, which is so obvious, you know, and that was kind of lost, however, from Western astrology for a long time. So my principal devotion is to hunt for the roots of these rules

and the proofs of these astrological equations we use

by opening my own sentient experience to the marriage of heaven and earth,

and to encourage astrologers to, while looking down at the small screen and the chart,

to also look up at the big screen of the living sky and I've seen many initiate themselves through this and it really feels to me like the living book of astrology that brings the inner teacher alive.

Well, so today we're going to start with a topic around solar returns. And if Brett set this up because my birthday is actually next week when we'll be doing the second edition of this show.

So, but what it is is teaching you different practices that you can do on your solar return, on your birthday, or if you see clients, you can walk them through these kinds of practices. And Brett is going to be sharing these here with us today using me as an example.
