And Benjamin Netanyahu says that the UK's decision to suspend some arms sales to Israel is shameful.

Posting on X, the Israeli Prime Minister said the decision will not change Israel's determination to defeat Hamas.

Strong words, even for a leader who's hardly known for his restrained language.

The UK has announced that it will be suspending 30 out of 350 arms export licenses to Israel,

principally parts for fighter jets, helicopters and drones.

The new Labour government argues that it sees continuing the export of some equipment to Israel

as a potential breach of international law in relation to the conflict in Gaza.

The fallout between the two countries over the suspension

is unlikely to change the fate of the war but could it signal trouble ahead

for Israel's Prime Minister and the broader transatlantic relationship.
