but as they near the next elections and big tensions are starting to become clear.

One is about the party's plans for a green economy.

I think there's just a lack of intellectual rigor and thinking

about where they've got to for oil and gas.

Another source of conflict is Keir Starmer's apparent drive to sideline the labour left.

That started with Jeremy Corbyn and it now includes a big political figure in the northeast of England.

All I really want is to let the people of the northeast choose who is their mayor

and not let London labour choose who is their mayor.

What does all this tell us about how Keir Starmer is actually going to run the country?
