this has been trending recently the mass total of contracts that the New York

NYX are paying their new Macaulayas as we're calling it. Let's start with the

RJ Barrett extension not a max extension so I think that's already a win in

all of our books. I don't think anyone thinks he's in the max extension

world quite yet but I think it's a great. Let me stop you there but had he

gotten the rookie Mac extension. Yeah okay there we go. Yeah obviously

but that's just that's the game like you pay your homegrown players at least

for for 29 other franchise for the New York NYX though this is the first time

since 1999 since a football player Charlie Ward have been drafted by the NYX in

the first round and resigned to a second contract not only they lock up RJ

Mitch Robinson who was a second-round pick they locked him up it's it's very rare

it's very rare that the NYX could have a homegrown prospect averaging 20 points

for a game it's very rare that they hit in the second round of the NBA draft

and lock him up on a fairly reasonable contract it's very rare that the NYX
