Summary
The Star Wars Prequels have enjoyed a huge resurgence in popularity in recent years, with the kids who grew up with then becoming adults and a brand new generation discovering them. This week we take a look at Episode I The Phantom Menace, George Lucas' return to both writing and directing. Following the adventures of Qui-Gon Jinn, Queen Amidala, Jar Jar Binks and sort of Obi-Wan Kenobi they tackle taxation in the form of the Trade Federation along with Darth's Sidious and Maul. It's a mixed bag no doubt but not without it's redeeming qualities. Thanks for listening to our Caravan Of Garbage review!

| 0:00.0 | Welcome back everybody to another episode of Caravan of Garbage where yes, we've finally come around. |
| 0:04.8 | Well, maybe not come around. In terms of we're finally covering the Star Wars prequels. |
| 0:08.8 | We watched those movies. We said, well, we've started with this one at the very least and we'll just, |
| 0:12.8 | we'll see how it goes. See how it goes. Yeah. James, we watched every Twilight movie. We're not going to stop |
| 0:18.3 | midway through the prequel Star Wars trilogy. That's a hell dare-ass, |
| 0:22.5 | for even contemplating that after what we've done. You know what we've done. Yeah, you won't know. |
| 0:28.6 | Leave it like if you could and I guess I've got a question and a statement. I guess to start |
| 0:33.6 | things off. First of all, it's all been said, etc and so forth. Will you hear anything you hear? |
| 0:38.0 | I don't know. I've tried to grab some like talking points that maybe people haven't heard of before. |
| 0:42.0 | Some classic hits as well. James, let me tell you this. Did you know that the original |
| 0:46.0 | working title for Star Wars was Blue Harvest? Did you know that? We're not talking about Blue Harvest |
| 0:50.3 | Mason. Oh, I'm going to go and watch a movie real quick then. But look, I'll say this. I've come, |
| 0:55.9 | and I think a lot of people have a long way on the prequel. I don't hate them as much as I used to, |
| 1:02.0 | but I'm certainly not one of those people that have come right around on them and I'm now like, |
| 1:05.8 | oh my god, I get it now. It's beautiful and real and... There has been a real |
| 1:09.8 | resurgence, I think, in terms of the critical opinion of this. Now, the last time we watched this movie, |
| 1:16.4 | we did a commentary on it. We did. But I don't think that was a fair evaluation of the movie because |
| 1:21.2 | as we've done a lot of commentaries and as we've learned, if you actually sit down and focus |
| 1:25.7 | and watch the movie, you stop commenting. So we find it's best to skim the movie a little bit. |
| 1:30.7 | So the last time I really sat down and watched this movie properly before right now was when it came |
| 1:36.1 | out in cinemas. Okay, yeah. And in watching it now, I came away with two sort of major observations |
| 1:43.2 | about this movie that I wouldn't have had then. And the number one thing is like, it is genuinely, |
... |
