Hey everyone. So as you know, there's a lot going on in our country right now, and we didn't feel that it was

right for us to continue on with our normal podcast business as usual, given the circumstances.

We also didn't want to use this platform to promote our own voices, and instead we wanted to

take this time before the podcast to promote the voices of the oppressed, the ones that are actually

dealing with these issues in our country. So we've always kept it, kept away from politics on this

show. We feel that this is way more than politics. This is about a human rights issue. And so what I'm

going to do is read a quote by a statement by Barack Obama. And then we're going to play a short video

and then we'll get into the podcast.

It's natural to wish for life to just get back to normal. As a pandemic and economic crisis,

append everything around us. But we have to remember that for millions of Americans being treated

differently on account of race is tragically, painfully, maddeningly normal, whether it's while dealing with the

health care system, interacting with the criminal justice system, jogging down the street,

or just watching birds in a park. This shouldn't be normal. In 2020 America, it can't be normal.

If we want our children to grow up in a nation that lives to its highest ideals, we can and must be better.

My God. It's another sad day in America. Painful to be introduced to George Floyd during his last breath.

With a cop's knee on his neck. He deserves so much more. How many black lives have to be taken before something is done? We are not a threat.

I am shaking as I tie.

This has got to stop.

We are sick of it.

I just want us all to live.

Stop it.

Don't look away from the truth until every one of us are free for white supremacists.
