0:00.0	Ship's log, star date 2124.5. First officer Spock reporting for Captain James Kirk.
0:14.0	We are orbiting the lone unrecorded planet in the star desert. For four hours hours we have made every possible instrument sweep,
0:21.6	but Captain Kirk and Helmsman Sulu remain unaccounted for. I have placed the ship on Red Alert.
0:27.6	The Enterprise is chuck wagging to the stars for the Beta 6 colony, and boy howdy is the Western flavor thick like gravy.
0:34.6	See, the Enterprise has to cross a Star Desert, which is kind of like the Sahara except
0:40.1	even drier and way colder.
0:42.3	However, upon a crossing this vast expanse of nothing, they find a planet right in their
0:47.3	path.
0:48.5	Kirk for once in his life wants to keep a delivery schedule and orders the Enterprise to
0:52.1	ignore it.
0:53.0	But in space desert, strange new world
0:56.0	explore you. After a sweep for Sulu and Kirk on the ship comes back negative, Spock discerns the
1:02.6	most likely place for them to be is on the planet. The ship receives an archaic greeting,
1:08.0	even by 1960s standards. Spock orders a landing party to the surface, and
1:12.9	that party consists of McCoy, Yeager, and DeSalle. They are shocked to find the atmosphere to be
1:18.4	breathable. Even more shocking is the discovery of a frozen Kirk and Sulu inside what appears to be
1:24.4	a Baroque palace. And to make matters worse, a loud harpsichord begins to play.
1:30.9	The musician is the squire of Gothos.
1:34.2	The squire, named Trillane, unfreezes Kirk and Sulu and proceeds to joyfully make threats at the crew of the enterprise.
1:41.6	Spock and Scotty fiddle with the power knobs and get the sensors working well enough
1:45.3	to discover a pocket of pristine atmosphere on Gothos.
1:49.1	Now they plan to beam up whatever life forms they can lock onto.
