Bob, what not so fresh hell is this?

Okay, Mary, as always, spoilers ahead. This is I-Mud from season two. It's another typical day aboard the USS Enterprise.

Bones is concerned that a new lieutenant hasn't stopped by sickbay for a physical since his arrival,

and that he appears suspiciously emotionless.

The mysterious crewman takes control of the enterprise and alters both its heading and warp factor.

We learn this is Norman, an android.

He informs Kirk that he requires the enterprise,

so they travel for four days to an uncharted K-class planet,

where we find the flamboyant human trafficking grifter Harry Mudd,

who is now the dictator of an android society.

Yes, Harcourt Fenton Mudd and his copious neck hair returns to Star Trek.

Mud wants to use the enterprise to leave the planet while forcing our heroes to take his place there.

Eventually, Kirk and the gang team up with Mudd to trick the androids in order to make their

escape. But mud is forced to remain on the planet with android versions of his nagging

wife to torment him for the rest of his days. It's another zany episode of the original series

without all the drug addiction and human trafficking of the previous

mud episode mary and yet it still raises some very serious questions to which yes indeed

soon turned let's dive it incoming transmission track politics with Mary L. Trump and Bob Sestan.

So, Zaney?

Is that the word zany?

Because to me, Bob, this sort of felt like a combination of the worst of Plato's stepchildren
