You know, until you just said about the portentiousness of the name Star Gaser,

I just realized, oh my god, they manufactured a backstory for Picard that makes his first

command to Star Gaser like some kind of prophetic fulfillment.

Yeah, they sure did. Interesting. Interesting. I really like this episode.

I think this is a strong start to the season. It's still got a lot of things I find

in the wing about modern trek. You know, have to have an action sequence
