It's been a little bit of a while here. I'm so happy we're back to talking about Star Trek and what an amazing, incredible discovery to go beyond in the Star Trek universe.

I just re-listened to our Star Trek into Darkness podcast and we were marveling, oh my god, it took four years to get a sequel to JJ Abrams Star Trek four years!

Oh, how could it ever take that long? How long has it been since Into Darkness? Three years.

You know, I think they wanted to time it because this is Trek's spithiath anniversary. And, you know, I usually think that studios, they get romantic about that kind of notion.

We need to have one for a big anniversary. They wanted to get this movie out. From what I understand, this movie had a different script.

They weren't happy with it and they fired those screenwriters and hired new ones to do a rush job because it was just that important that they have a Trek movie this summer.

Yes, they hired Simon Pegg and his friend to do the rush job. I mean, it's kind of interesting that I followed all of this because I am the former director of Star Trek.

I am the former trekkie and I was very excited to continue this what they're now calling the Kelvin verse because the USS Kelvin was the ship that destroyed and all that.

So, I watched as JJ was going to do it and then JJ said he was going to do Star Wars instead of Star Trek.

Which felt like a diss, right? I mean, you gotta feel no, you know, obviously Star Wars is a bigger franchise, but that's a big war, right?
