Thunder and I talk about what's next for WWE following the retirement of John Cena.

This is the busted open podcast. You know, it's interesting. We're done with John Cena in a certain sense,

Thunder. And we're not going to be done with him. We'll get to, you know,

we're a week removed from his retirement so we can revisit that a little bit later in the show.

But something stood out to me watching Smackdown last night. And that was what John Cena said

before his retirement. He had mentioned on a pod, I forget which podcast he was on. I think

it might have been Chris chris van vliet

where he said uh something to the the point of when i'm gone after i'm gone and they move on to the

royal rumble everybody's going to forget about me everybody's going to forget about me no one's

going to give a crap anymore and it reminded me of that watching Smackdown last night because now that the John Cena thing is done,

which got all that attention at everything, what's next?

And that's the challenge for WWE.

I think that's the challenge kind of for Cody Rhodes at this moment. He's got this thing

going on with him back and tire. He says he's QB1. He cut that promo last night. I mean,

how much pressure do you think is on Cody Rhodes and WWE to do something right now to gain

that attention back and tell us they've got this this real direction i don't really think it's

only on cody roads isn't a lot of the people that are on top right now to make it more um

like more of an appeal for people to continue to like not only watch the shows by buy the merchandise

buy into the stories attend the shows which buy the merchandise, buy into the stories, attend the shows,

which by the way, if you haven't seen, they have a 30% off for WrestleMania tickets,

which tells you something that they have not been able to sell the tickets for their biggest
