I live in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and I have been a serious collector of all manner of recorded sounds since my early 20s.

I've estimated that I probably have had close to 10,000 recordings, 4578s albums, real-to-reel tapes, videos, anything else that something might have been recorded on.

Though I never asked him whether or not he'd like to be, Bob is kind of the godfather of this podcast.
