character actor and guide to Italy's food and culture. The winner of six Emmys

out of 14 nominations and two Golden Globes out of three, as well as an Oscar and Tony nominee,

he has been stealing scenes and elevating projects for more than 30 years. Among them,

1996's Big Night, 2002's Road to Perdition, 2006's The Devil Wors

Prada, 2009's The Lovely Bones, and Julie and Julia, 2010's EasyA, 2011's Captain America

the First Avenger, The Hunger Games film spanning 2012 through 2015, 2015's Best Picture Oscar winner Spotlight,

2004's Best Picture Oscar nominee Conclave, and, most recently, 2006's The Devil Wares Prada 2.

But in recent years, he has also established himself as a host of food-centric TV programs, sort of a Julia Child and Anthony Bourdain for the 2020s.

First came Stanley Tucci searching for Italy, which ran on CNN for two seasons, including a two-part second season.

All three times he was eligible for the Emmy for best-hosted non-fiction series or special for that show,

he won it, and then, rather inexplicably, CNN canceled it. But he was back in 2025 with Nat Geo's

Tucci in Italy, on which he explores how regions of Italy and their food shape each other. For its

first season, he was nominated again for the best-hosted

non-fiction series or special Emmy, and for its second, he is back in the hunt for another nomination.
