Welcome to the Conversations that Matter Podcast. My name is John Harris. I am very honored to have with me today a special guest. I've been telling you for a few weeks we're going to have a professor explain to us this standpoint of epistemology.

You've all heard the word if you've been listening to my podcast.

And I've received questions, what is this word?

What does it mean? And I said, well, we're

going to have an expert on it come and speak with us. And Bill Roach, thank you so

much for coming on and being willing to give your time to explain this to

churchmen out there.

So it's really just my honor and privilege now.

I do want to say, I'm not sure if I'm this world for now to expert,

but I can't speak to this topic.

Well, let me tell the audience, kind of a little bit of who you are you can correct the record if I get something wrong here but you got your PhD in philosophy from southeastern Baptist theological seminary you pastored before that in Chicago area.

You've written a few books, most notably

defending inerancy with the late Dr. Norm Geisler and here's just a few things from the book which are rather

impressive. John MacArthur comments on the book and he talks about the inerancy debate of

the 1970s and 1980s.

And then he says the very same issues are under debate as before

and all the same tired already answered.

Arguments have been hauled out once more against scripture.

It is time for genuine believers to awaken to this issue again

and speak with a clear united voice of confidence and conviction.
