I shared this in the first service, Pastor Mark just asked me to come up on the spur of the moment.

And this is what I've been meditating on.

So let me share this with you.

But in the eighth chapter of the book of John

is where Jesus had taken this woman that was taken in the very act of adultery and instead of condemning her he said he this without sin cast the first stone and he silenced all of the critics and then he started defending himself and people

were criticizing him where did you get the authority to do this and down here in

John chapter 8 and in verse 30 as he spake these words

many believed on him and then in verse 31 it says and he and Jesus said to those Jews which believed on him if you continue in my

word then are you my disciples indeed the word indeed means in truth or in reality.

So it's possible to be called a disciple

and not be a true disciple.

A disciple means a learner, a follower.

And there's lots of people who claim to be disciples but they aren't

truly a disciple he says you have to continue in the word and then you'll become

a disciple indeed and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.

It's only the truth that you know that makes you free.

What we don't know is killing us.

You know, there's a bumper sticker that says,

ignorance is bliss, but it's not true.

What you don't know is killing you.
