Summary

In this message, Dr. Youssef declares that true meekness is not weakness, but strength surrendered to the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5). This meekness grows only after we confess our spiritual bankruptcy and learn to mourn over our sin. Meekness is the power to remain steady when wronged, to trust God’s justice when others slander, and to refrain from revenge when given the chance. Dr. Youssef points to Abraham, Joseph, and ultimately Christ, whose strength was perfectly controlled in obedience to the Father. 1:30.3	all over you. Meekness is being indecisive, timid, helpless. A meekness is being fearful
1:40.4	or spineless. And please forgive me, I'm going to use the vernacular, somebody who's a wimp.
1:48.0	But in reality, biblical meekness has nothing to do with this wrong perception, has nothing to do with it.
1:57.9	The best definition of this biblical word meek goes something like this. It is having power,
