If I had to pick one text out of all the New Testament that would get at my concern with being lovers of truth in a politically correct age, it would be 2nd Thessalonians 2, starting at verse 8 and we'll read through verse 12.

You listen for the signals.

Then the lawless one will be revealed.

Picturing the end of the age and some form of Antichrist.

The lawless one will be revealed and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of his mouth and

destroy him by his appearing and his coming the coming of the lawless one by the activity of Satan will be with all power and with

pretended or a better translation might be lying signs and wonders.

If you translate that pretended signs and wonders, I'm reading from the RSV, it sounds like they're not real.

If you translate it lying signs and wonders, it sounds like they're real and they are in defense of a falsehood.
