I've been friends with Dan Bonjino a long time.

Really good friends.

I'm not going to talk about conversations we had when he became the

deputy FBI director. But to say the least, it is a thankless task and the level of ignorance

among people in terms of the depth of the challenge of keeping America safe and secure,

the magnitude of that job is beyond most people's comprehension.

I mean, and then you have, of course, you know, your critics on the left and the right,

and they just, you know, throwing stones.

And they don't know, they don't know

Adam Schiff about what it is that these guys are doing every day. And it, at times, it was getting me

frustrated. And I talked to Dan about it. And he had a great attitude the whole time. Nobody really

knows this, but he had told me early on. He's just going in to get things started. He didn't really plan to stay for the entire four years. He thought probably one year and he was done.
