How are we doing church? Doing okay? Good. You look great. You look great. Glad you're here.

Or you can grab your bulletin and the text is there also. A case. This last week, I was on an extended prayer walk in Colorado, kind of an armed prayer walk. You'll hear lots about that in future sermons to come. But this morning, we're going to put a pause in what we've been doing for the last three weeks. We've been in a series called Sovereign Legacy, where we looked at the life and faith of Abraham

and Sarah. We looked at the faith of Abraham and we looked about what do you do when God's

timing and your timing don't really line up? And then last week we looked at Abraham and Isaac

and that God's not a God trying to take from you what's most important to you. But in fact,

Abraham and Isaac is a picture of God and his love giving to us what was

most important to him, his only begotten son, who died on a cross for our behalf.

This week, I'll tell you about that in just a second.

Next week we'll pick back up with three more weeks of sovereign legacy.

We will talk about Jacob and Esau and Joseph.

We'll talk about forgiveness and temptation and all kind of stuff

as we followed through in this study on Genesis. But today I'm really excited because I think it's

very, very important for our church to hear the gospel from some different voices. And about seven

months ago, I did one of the smartest things I've ever done in leadership is hire Pastor Ryan Britt.

He's from Atlanta.

He came here to be our spiritual formation.

And if you're in spiritual formation, if you're in a disciple group or a disciple group leader, maybe you've had some experience with him.

He's an incredible leader.

He's a really, really smart guy.

And in addition to that, he's an incredible communicator of the word.

So I'm excited about not only what you'll hear today, but who you will hear it from.
