It feels a little bit weird to say this, knowing Sharon's not going to be here. So I don't even know if the TD's ready, but hey, it's big News Wednesday. I don't know why I questioned the TD.

Of course they're on.

Anyway, it's Big News Wednesday, I guess.

Sharon's not here, it's just me.

So for some of you, it's going to be Big Whop Wednesday.

But anyway, there is a lot of news going on. L.A. remains on fire.

I mean, most of the fires have been put out just by virtue of the fact that every building in L.A.

has burned down. Most people don't know that. There's no building standing. But the protests are

spreading, as we said they would. Indeed, they are moving into this weekend. So we're

to be talking about that, even if sometimes it feels like I'm one of the only people that

actually cares about it. It's a big story. This is laying the groundwork for potential

authoritarian overreach on other protests on the midterms. It's important, everyone. I want to shake the camera,

but I'm not going to because I'm not sure that I'll be able to get the camera focused again

if I do that. But just in your mind, fill in me shaking the camera. So anyway, we have a lot of

news that we're going to be talking about. The protests, of course, but more than just that.

Donald Trump, I try not to describe it as verbally philating. Let's say lauding terrorists and Confederates. So we're going to have a little bit of that. Defunding areas of the government that actually protect you against real terrorism and not just migrants they've labeled as terrorists.

So that's going to be a lot of fun.
