Greetings radio listeners. This is not Chuck. This is board operator Dan. Chuck's out this

week doing some important housekeeping for the show Chuck goes pretty hard in the paint

and needs to do a little housekeeping stuff and that that can add up sounds to me

like you needed to a little time to defragment the drives. Chores like that.

He'll finish those up and he'll be back and better than ever next week, but that doesn't mean that we can't have a nice time right now

playing some classic This is Hell interviews from years past I've selected a few interviews

from the mid-2000s with John Perkins. His book Confessions of an Economic Hit-Man had just come out at that time.

I remember reading that. We'll get to that soon. We do have a question

from hell this week. This week's question from hell is, what are you doing with the extra hour from daylight savings time?

of the day I'm going to play a few classic interviews this morning from John Perkins, author of Confessions of an Economic

Hitman. I read this when it came out and if memory serves, it's basically about some sort of

World Bank High Up Economic Spook type guy who was hired to get

developing countries to take sucker loans which would kneecap their economies

and make them reliant on the West and secure access for the West to their precious

resources. I don't know if that's quite right. That's my Cliff Notes recollection.
