talking about St. Simeon the Stylite. What should we know about him? Who is he?

So St. Simeon the Stylite lived from 390 to

459, so he's an early Christian saint, fourth, fifth century in Syria. And he is famous for

standing on a pole. That's unexpected. So I have actually, my husband has a great devotion to

Simeon the Scyllite.

So I've done quite a lot of, I've kind of written an article on Simeon.

I've done a part of a course on Simeon.

So I'm a great Simeon apologist and spreader of the cult of Simeon the Stylite.

But it kind of need to like, you know, have an apology for Simeon because he's not the kind of saint. I don't know, people think

he's ridiculous. So we're going to have to go in an order here a little bit. You're going to have

to tell me a little bit of what do you mean by he stands on a pole? Okay. Then why does your husband

have a devotion to him for standing on a pole? Probably among other reasons. Okay. And then we'll move in because you're leaving too much in the gray area there.
