Summary

Every now and then a Celtic artist will allow me to release an entire album in podcast form, much like DJs did back in the 70s. I've found it a great way to promote my music and a great way to sell more music as well. That is the ultimate goal of this podcast, after all, to help Celtic bands sell more music. This week, I'm featuring my St. Patrick's Day album called "Not Every Day Is St. Patrick's Day". If you enjoy it, please buy a copy on iTunes or Amazon or just share it with a friend.

If you enjoy this podcast, then please rate the show on iTunes or your favorite podcatcher. Then subscribe to our Celtic Music Magazine. Today's show is brought to you by Marc Gunn's CD "Not Every Day Is St. Patrick's Day

Ever wake up on St. Patrick's Day in a panic because you have no Irish music?  Well, here's a ready-made solution! "Not Every Day is Not St. Patrick's Day" adds to Marc Gunn's considerable collection of Celtic music made accessible in any number of ways.  First of all, it's a great listen.  Even if you never explore the music beyond that, you'll be satisfied.  But Marc has made the lyrics to and chords for all these great songs available on his Irish Song Lyrics website. You can buy Not Every Day Is St Patrick's Day on CD Baby, iTunes or Amazon.

I am a Celtic musician and also your podcast host today you're going to find

0:16.0

out a little bit about my music because I am giving you the entire album from

0:20.7

not every day is St. Patrick's. This is a CD I released several years ago.

0:25.0

I got this idea many years ago from DJ's back in the 70s when they would play an

0:31.0

entire album when it was first released.

0:34.3

I thought that was a cool idea.

0:35.3

I thought it would be even cooler to do it in podcast form,

0:37.4

so I've done it several times over the years with my own albums

0:40.3

and with a couple of artists, most notably Jed Merum, who has told me that he achieved great success by doing so.

0:48.0

Now the idea is basically that I play the entire album and if you enjoy it you can go buy a copy or an MP3 a track

1:10.9

of MP3s, probably close to 30 million MP3s of mine, as well as the

1:15.2

podcast over the years.

1:17.8

And I've seen great success by doing just that.

1:20.8

However, again, it is with the caveat that if you enjoy the music you will
