So welcome to our Rosary meditation.

I'm blessed to be at the house of Jack Oxley for Rosary on the road

gathered with a bunch of young adults and the little

sisters of the lamb and some wonderful priests.

And so we're gathered together for this meditation on the Feast of Saint Martha.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

It's called to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Our first meditation and first decade

research shows that Catholics are not active in leading others to Jesus for three reasons

they believe it's not their job. They don't feel competent and they are indifferent.

We gave the wrong message as a church for centuries that leading others to Jesus was the job of priests and nuns and professional church workers.

That is not true.

Every person who receives the sacrament of confirmation has the official authority from the bishop to lead others to Christ.

The catechism says that by the sacrament of

confirmation the baptized are enriched with a special strength of the Holy

Spirit and hence they are as true witnesses of Christ more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith not only

by deed, by example, but also by our words.

It is your job and we must give an account to the Lord at our death

on what we've done with this gift of confirmation and the seven gifts of the Holy

Spirit. Secondly, you don't need to be a theologian or a biblical

scholar to help people to friendship with Jesus. In order to help people to friendship with Jesus, all you need is to have friendship with Jesus yourself.
