Good to see you too too, Taylor. I'm glad you're here. Today we are talking about a

great saint, Saint Louis Marie Grignon de Montfort. Did I say that right? I French it's B plus. I'll take it. I would have thought I thought I was getting a C there. You have to you have to pinch your lips together. I'm not serious. It's like do you ever play a horn like trumpet or anything? Well if you don't have any Amish or you can't do it. Soccer? It didn't do it for the lives. I'm not a linguist. Okay. I didn't know. Let's talk about St. Louis.

0:55.1

All right. Let's talk about him. Okay. So, Dr. Seahorn, where should we begin when it comes to St. Louis de Montfort?

1:02.9

We'll start at the very beginning. That's a lot. A very good place to start. Very good place to start. Okay. So, yeah, good. So St. Louis was born in 1673. 1:48.7

There was this profound emphasis on intimacy with Jesus in his mysteries, in the mysteries of his life.

1:54.4

In fact, you can even see kind of the influence of this in the catechism, the Catholic Church,

2:00.2

when it talks about how Christ continues to live the mysteries of this in the catechism, the Catholic Church, when it talks about how

2:01.7

Christ continues to live the mysteries of his life in us, in the members of his body. Again,

2:07.3

there's a lot more we could say about the French school, but I think that's a good place to start.

2:11.0

The other thing that, at least for me, as you know, much of my study was in the fathers of the

2:17.0

church and especially the eastern fathers of the church.

2:19.8

Well, around this time, a lot of the Greek fathers, their writings were being translated in France
