My Lord and my God, I firmly believe that you are here,

that you see me, that you hear me.

I ask your pardon for my sins and the grace to make this time of prayer fruitful.

My immaculate Mother St. Joseph, my father, and Lord, my guardian angel, intercede for me.

Our topic of conversation with our Lord is taken from two messages of St.

Jose Maria. A little more focus on him since we will be

celebrating his feast day this month, June 26th. And we thank our Lord that he has intervened so that the church

make a solemn declaration twice. One through the declaration of beatification, where the church, guided by

the Holy Spirit, presents one of his sons or daughters, as a role model. In addition to his beatification, he has been canonized. A canonization is an

infallible statement of the church, declaring and recognizing again that one of her sons or

daughters has heroically followed Christ without any possibility

of error, that this is infallibly correct, that this person has heroically followed Jesus.

The Lord has a bit of a sense of humor that maybe 60 years before the canonization of St.

Jose Maria, his right-hand man also who got beatified,

Alvo del Portillo, went to Rome to prepare the way for church approval of Opus Day.

The light St. José Maria received on October 2nd, 1928.

And Blessed Alvara was told that the spirit of St. Jose Maria had arrived a hundred years too soon,

that the church was not ready to recognize it and approve it.

Those were Vatican officials who said that.

Sixty years later, I was there, maybe some of you were there.
