Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Today is the feast of Pope St. John Paul II. Now for a long time Satan has been spreading a vicious

lie. The first part of this lie is that you are totally

alone in the world, that this is a godless universe and life on earth came from nothing. We are headed toward

nothing which means your life means nothing and nothing governs the world.

We are at the mercy of simply random chaos.

There is no God and you are totally alone in the world.

The second part of this lie is that since you are alone in the world,

you gotta create your own identity and value, and unless you can

prove your worth by some great achievement or human relationship, then you're nothing. And if you fail at this, well, then you will die,

because no one has your back. To live under that pressure is totally overwhelming. That pressure drives us to a

competitive fight for survival that leads to envy and anger and greed and all manner of addictions

by which we try to escape the pressure, or the deep fear that paralyzes us from taking the risks associated with responsibility,

because again, we think that if we fail, we'll die. Humanity lives in this fear and it comes from a vicious lie that was
