| 0:35.6 | In fact, he wanted to gain glory as a warrior, a knight in battle. At first, |
| 0:42.3 | his desire to fight was for his own glory. Still, he wanted to be a soldier. When he was a young |
| 0:48.3 | man, he had a dream that his home changed into a great palace filled filled with shields, armor, swords, and |
| 0:56.4 | banners. On all this war, equipment glittered a red cross. As he wandered the halls, a beautiful, |
| 1:04.3 | poorly clad young woman appeared and clasped his hand tightly and said to him, |
| 1:09.6 | Francis, my beloved, all this is for you and for your companions. |
| 1:14.5 | Take up your arms. |
| 1:16.4 | Francis misinterpreted the dream. |
| 1:18.9 | The poorly clad young woman was Lady Poverty. |
| 1:23.0 | The companions? |
| 1:24.4 | Franciscans, not worldly knights. |
| 1:27.3 | And the weapons? Well, God had other weapons in mind, prayer, penance, and preaching. |
| 1:34.9 | Our Father, who art in heaven, holly would be your name. |
| 1:38.4 | Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. |
