We do this with ourselves too. We think that it's best to get to what you want fastest with as little

effort as possible. That's not the truth. So we can do that with our kids. But if we watch them

struggle to get what they want, they're learning, they're growing, they're getting stronger

because we aren't giving them what they need the instant we see what they are going for.
