Even if you're a person in the wrestling business, I would assume you're a wrestling fan if you're listening to this

Welcome to Sam Roberts wrestling podcast. It's a very special episode this week

Katie Linnondall in my spouse and my spouse and myself

Spent some time over the weekend down at the New England fan fest in Rhode Island

They treated this very very well. It was a very good time. So many awesome guests that were there

But the reason that it was important was really it's really reflected in the reason why I do this podcast and the reason why I've said I do this podcast

And that's a couple of things number one because I'm a fan of wrestling. I'm a sports entertainment fan. I grew up on WWE

So I don't feel dirty saying sports entertainment, but I'm a wrestling fan. I like it. That's why I watch it. I enjoy it.

The other reason is as I've said before because I want to do things that I would think was cool when I was a kid

I want to know that me as a kid would look at me as an adult and say wow that guy's awesome

I might be the only me as a kid might be the only one saying that but as long as me as a kid is saying that I'm doing something right

And that's what today's podcast is about. It's not about talking to the next generation. It's not about talking to NXT this week

It's about talking to heroes of yesterday. You've heard it for weeks here on the podcast. Everybody by now who listens regularly knows

The My Pal, Katie Linnindall's favorite wrestler of all time is there's two IRS and Tatanka. She's obsessed with Tatanka. Tatanka was at the New England fan fest.

We wanted to get him on the show then. We wanted to record an interview with him but he was very busy signing autographs. I did get a chance to introduce Tatanka to Katie Linnindall.

We put it on Periscope. If you follow us on social media, you would have seen it. It was really really funny. Especially because Tatanka did not know me from a whole in the wall. He knew exactly who Katie was.

It had no clue who Sam Roberts was. Sorry, just the guy who has his name on the podcast. But we didn't get to talk to him at the convention.

So we took to Twitter Katie tweeted out to Tatanka. Hey, we want you on the podcast and then encouraged all of you to also reach out to Tatanka and it worked.
