She came straight up to me, she looked me in the eyes and she smiled so whoever you are thank

you so much.

Today's story comes from Sri Pisharodi. About a year after her father died,

Sri and her young daughter accompanied her mother back to India.

So that she could, you know, get rid of some of her properties her

house and all in India as she was going to come and stay with you know nearby to me

her daughter now now that my dad was no more.

Anyhow, we went to India and I remember clearly

when we were in the flight, I told my daughter, you know, in India it's crowded, you have to stick with me and never trust the police officers or the auto rickshaw drivers because everybody wants a bribe and they'll try to cheat you and you know you have to be careful.

So once we reached India, you know I packed up our passports, our documents and and all of that into a little bag, a briefcase.

And my mom, myself, and my daughter, we loaded ourselves into an auto rickshah to head down to the train station.

All three of us got out.

I paid the auto ricksha driver.

I turned around to make sure my mom and my daughter

were next to me.

And before I knew it, the auto ricksha driver drove away with our briefcase that had my passport,

our documents, our cash, everything in it.

And I just, my heart sank. I started quivering. I didn't know what to do.
