Our special guest today is Vlad Yucas.

And I've been excited to talk to Vlad because Vlad wrote a book on SRE, right?

Vlad, all that site reliability engineering.

And it's like, I'm not an ops.

So this is going to be a fun conversation because I get to, I'm going to say poke the bear a little bit and ask the, the, I'm going to not dumb questions, but the, not questions, the newbie questions at some point that I always have. So Vlad, thank you for joining us today.

Thank you, Bill, for inviting me. It's very exciting to be here and I'm really looking forward to the conversation.

So give everybody before we start sort of the two-minute background on what you're doing today.

Yeah. So today I'm running a software delivery organization at Siemens Healtheniers.

We are developing and operating the so-called Team Play Digital Health platform, which is the company's cloud platform for running digital services.

And as the name suggests, I am at Seaman Health in Years, so it's to do with health. So we have a healthcare arm

of Siemens there for the obligations that sit on top of our platform. They are used in hospitals

around the world. Are we talking like patient record systems or going even deeper like DNA data or scientific stuff or practical stuff?

It's practical stuff. So it's about managing the medical imaging equipment. So if you've got, say, CT scanners or MRI scanners or ultrasound scanners in the hospital.

And typically in bigger hospitals, you've got lots of them at different locations.

So you've got entire scanner fleets.

Then how to manage them, that's a big question that can be answered by applications that are sitting on top of our platform.

These are problems that I don't even know exist. Like, like, okay, you know, we live in this,

I live in this, I guess, odd startup tech world sometimes. And so you forget these sorts of problems.
