I'm extremely optimistic about the company and its assets, but I would say that in some cases the challenges are greater than I had anticipated.

Yesterday the company announced it will extend Iger's deal to remain CEO his second time around on this job for two more years through 2026.

Iger returned to Disney in November, retaking the job from his successor Bob Chapeck,

who had a little more than two years at the helm of the House of Mouse.

Eiger's second tenure has been an eventful one.

Disney has undergone thousands of layoffs and cut billions of dollars in spending,

including in its core content business.
