Tonight’s guest, Scot Violette, is the founder of Squatch America, which is a national Bigfoot research group. Squatch America has a self-named YouTube channel and a website where they collect sightings and reports. Scot and his wife live in an RV that they use to follow up on reports all over the U.S. Scot is also a Native American cultural anthropologist who has worked in that field for 25 years. 0:19.7	And what we do is my wife and I live full time in an RV and we travel all over the United
0:24.5	States following up on these reports.
0:27.6	As far as my Bigfoot sightings go, I'll have to back up a little bit and talk about some of my
0:37.1	sightings aren't new.
0:41.9	To put it bluntly, I am a Native American cultural anthropologist, and I've worked in that field for 25 years.
0:51.9	And I would have to say my first experiences with Bigfoot sightings would be
0:57.7	carved into rock. My first encounter with a Bigfoot was when I was working in central California
1:07.8	with a Native American tribe called the Miwok.
1:12.5	I was with an elder, and we were out looking at pictographs and petroglyphs.
1:20.3	And I saw a symbol that I couldn't recognize.
1:23.7	That was one of my things I was trained in.
1:25.7	That was my favorite part of the job was deciphering pictographs and petroglyphs.
1:31.3	And I saw a symbol I didn't recognize.
1:35.6	And I asked the elder, what is that?
1:37.5	And he said, Yah, Yali, in their language, which means Harryman.
1:42.7	And I asked him, Harryman, I meant, are you talking like Bigfoot?
1:49.7	And he said, yes.
1:51.0	And I said, I ask him, do they exist?
