Summary

Tonight’s guests, Beth Kolasinski and Nolan Shelby, are mother and son. In late February, of 2018, the two of them were heading home from Nolan’s last high school basketball game, in Flint, Michigan. They live in Howell, Michigan, so they had a fairly long drive to get home. Beth doesn’t like driving on highways, so she prefers to take back roads, instead of driving on highways, so she took back roads home from the basketball game that night. When they were about 25 miles from home, they were in a desolate area where there was nothing but a lot of open fields. It was raining that night, so their view of the countryside wasn’t the best. What they did get a view of that night, however, was something they never expected to see. We hope you’ll tune into tonight’s show, so you can listen to them recount their sighting. 0:25.4	And as we're going to jump into our encounter. So it was late February of 2018. My son,
0:35.2	Nolan, here, was playing his very last high school basketball game out at the 810 sports complex in Flint, Michigan.
0:44.1	We live in Howell, Michigan, and I am not a freeway driver.
0:49.8	I've had some bad experiences, so it's just my nature to take the back weight everywhere we go.
0:56.5	It takes a little bit more time, but it's for me a little less stressful.
1:01.4	We had gone to his game and the very last, what, somewhat in the last quarter, I believe.
1:08.9	In the last quarter, I went up for a rebound
1:11.9	and ended up coming down on an opponent's foot and very messing up my ankle. I couldn't put any
1:20.1	pressure on it, anything like that. So instead of sitting up front like I would have normally
1:25.4	on a ray home, I had the front passenger seat folded
1:28.4	down and my leg up on it to have a little bit of relief from it. It was being iced and everything.
1:35.8	So I was sitting in the back passenger side. Correct. And we were driving home. It was about,
1:40.9	I would say about 9.30 at night. It was dark, obviously, in February.
1:46.3	And it was raining.
1:48.4	Yeah.
1:48.7	And I remember, I'm not sure where, you know, where we were.
1:52.6	Yeah, it was on Seymour Road, which is a little bit east of Gaines, Michigan.
