And today, we are talking about Holy Wednesday, also often called Spy Wednesday.

So it gets a little bit complicated.

There are a number of things to kind of go through with

Wednesday, and part of the complications is the disagreement between the different gospel

writers as to what's happening on what day. So the Mark account has Matthew and Luke don't have anything

that they talk about on Wednesday. John's a little bit trickier. We'll do that in a minute. And the market account does have some things that it talks about that happen on Wednesday. For some of those things, they're not talked about on Matthew and Luke, and some of them, they're on a different day. But we'll talk about them, and they're kind of traditionally celebrated on Spy Wednesday. So you want to

start us off? Yeah. So the first thing that we are looking at is all the scribes and priests

coming together talking about how they're going to best take Jesus. And they are concerned because Passover is coming. And they don't want to have a

big riot and don't want to upset the general Jewish population. And so they are talking together

about when is the best time to go and take Jesus. Yeah. So what you're going to find, you may have heard

people talk about a Mark and sandwich or intercalation before, but this is where Mark has a story,

and he interrupts it with another story, and then it goes back to the other story. So in this case,

he's got these incidents that are about killing Jesus with another story in between.

So the first part of it is the plan.

They decide they make a plan to take Jesus so they can kill him.

And then we get the interesting story in between.
