From a successful military operation in Iran to the passage of a massive tax and spending bill in Washington,

D.C., President Trump is feeling the magamentum.

But if you tune out the military parades and listen closely, you just may hear a quiet

cussaration on the other side of the political aisle.

Starlings, you say, no.

That's Democrats making some noise. So far this summer, the biggest

political story on the left was the meteoric rise of 33-year-old New York City mayoral candidate

Zoran Mamdani. While back in Washington, Democrats in Congress are sounding the alarm about President Trump's domestic and foreign

agendas. Few have been as vocal as my guest today, the senior U.S. Senator from Virginia,

Mark Warner, who also chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee. When I recently sat down with

Senator Warner in his Capitol Hill office, we talked about the, quote, big, beautiful

bill. Also, Warner's concerns about a politicized U.S. intelligence community and some key foreign policy

flashpoints, including a crisis quite close to the senator's heart, Civil War in Sudan. Here,

my conversation with Senator Mark Warner.
