Hey, Chandler-Bolt here and joining me today is Morgan Gist McDonald.

So Morgan is the founder of the publishing company called Paper Raven Books and the author

of a book called Start Writing Your Book Today.

Morgan is a longtime SPS partner and started as an SPS student. We'll talk about that a little

bit and it's just doing just amazing things in the publishing world. Really, really cool. So today

we're going to talk about a lot of things, but three specific things. We're going to talk about

how to get discovered as an author. We're going to talk about how to get discovered as an author. We're going to talk about

how to get more reviews as an author on your books. And then number three, we're going to talk

about building your readership and a whole lot of stuff in between Morgan. Welcome.

I'm super excited to be here, Chandler. Thanks for having me. Yeah. so let's kick you off with this. Why did you decide to write your first book?

And in that process, why join self-publishing school? How did you find us all that good stuff?

Yeah. So I was a freelance writing coach and editor. I worked with people to write their books,

but it was in a word document, right? I didn't, I didn't do any of the, like, publishing

or marketing or any of those pieces. And so I found that I could sit down and, you know, put 20,000

words into a word document and then had no clue what to do after that. And I wanted to grow my
