Welcome to the Bronx Pinstripe show.

Scott, I got Happy New Year yesterday.

And you know about the cutoff that it had already been two Fridays.

And I got Happy New Year yesterday on a phone call.

And I would almost forgive it except this person had previously happy new yeared me in email where do

you stand on that i let these things go you don't so i i i am uh one i probably wouldn't even

noticed it too if they did it i i certainly wouldn't have said anything. Or maybe I would. Maybe I would

have made a joke about it and not hold it against them personally. But I think you're operating

a little different. I think that you now don't like this person because of this.

Well, the thing is that you already didn't really like them so so this just cemented it anyway

man we are you know what that you want some good news you want some positive news scott

you ready for this spring training is only a month away no oh wait oh oh wait a minute these assholes

aren't going to even be there because no, they can't get on the same page.

And, you know, if the owners, if the owners aren't going to budge on much besides the nonsense, you know, small little things that they're putting in these, in these feelers back to the, back to the players union, then we're going to be in for a long haul because they're not, they're not budging and they need to. They need to budge a hell of a lot more for the players to even,

you know, react in a positive way to anything that's coming back. So I'm very, I don't know how

this resolves, to be honest. Like when you look at how things have gone over the past couple years and the, just the hardline

stances taken by the owners and the league, it's very difficult to see the path forward
