20206. I am Dave Biddle, very happy to join by Dan Rubin. It's also President's Day.

I mean, Dan, where are you ranking President's Day as far as American holidays?

Is it like number one in your book? I say that with a little bit of a little bit ingest.

But yeah, President's Day, it kind of gets lost in the shuffle, my friend.

At the risk of exposing any further ignorance, you sent me that text this morning and I immediately went

to my app to make sure it was actually President's Day. So there you have it.

And do you know, I learned something today because I knew it used to just be Washington's

birthday and then because of Lincoln's birthday, they made it President's Day. What I did not realize

was it still is technically called Washington's birthday. Like federally, that's what that's still called. They never actually changed the name. We just all call it, if you look at your calendar, whatever, it says President's Day. Technically by the United States government, it's still called Washington's birthday. Was I supposed to give everybody the day off today? Yes. Dang it. Yes. All right. Yep. Good to know for next year.

So no boarding house today, right? As far as you know. Cool. Boarding house, Dave.

Boarding house open on presidents day. What days is the boarding house closed? Christmas,

the giving of thanks. Yeah, Thanksgiving we usually ignore labor day because it's college football season national signing day we use memorial memorial day we do take off i think right we do july 4th yep all right all the biggies let's move along here all right I also learned like

when I was doing my research that Thomas Jefferson did not want Thanksgiving to be a national

holiday boom laziness it didn't like laziness it violated the the separation of church and state

thanks Tom yeah so there you go okay You guys want to talk about state football? I guess we could do that. So spring ball kicks off in three weeks, my friends. It is sneaking up on us. So I'm looking forward to it. I mean, the number one thing I'm going to be paying attention to. We usually typically get a lot of practices open in the spring to the media. And we don't have our schedule yet, but hopefully we get that relatively soon. Obviously, the biggest thing is how do the transfers look and how do a lot of the true freshman look? That's one of the good things. Ryan Day doesn't like it. I don't like it. The fact that where, you know, the timing of the transfer portal window. But as Ryan Day said himself, the good thing about it is now they know their team, Dan Rubin. And like, you know, it's going to be cool seeing like the true freshman and the transfers, big transfer class. That's a lot of new players, man. That's like 46 new guys between the transfers and the true fresh so that's obviously number one on my list

what are some things that are there you're going to be really piquing your interest so i wrote down

just stream of consciousness after we started discussing this like what came into my mind what i

want to see and yes the the youngsters and such were kind of like my let's say my three number one how big is

julian saying has he gained considerable upper body weight so um i used to do this when i covered the

mba i'd look when you on on on media day you look at
