Robert Garrow had progressed from committing burglaries to kidnapping and rape.

In the summer of 1973, he picked up two hitchhiking college students

and attempted to abduct them. After they managed to escape, he was arrested and

charged with drug possession and unlawful imprisonment.

But Gero would skate on these charges,

and before the summer was out,

he'd commit a series of assaults, kidnapping, and murders

while still managing to evade justice. In the early 1970s when

Robert Garrow claimed most of his victims the term serial killer had yet to be

coined but Garrow could more accurately be described as a spree killer.

Serial killers are typically classified as someone who murders three or more people

with the murders taking place over more than a month and with a significant period of time in between them.

Spree Colors on the other hand also have multiple victims but within a short amount of time

and in multiple locations. There is little to no break in between murders.
